Planning a wedding can be a minefield, with last minute costs and stresses cropping up from every angle. However, here at Carol’s Classics, we’re all too familiar with these accumulating stressors, so we decided to write this little list of FAQs to clear up any misconceptions or confusion regarding the hire of your wedding car.

How Many Cars Will I Need?

This is all dependent on how your guests would like to arrive at your wedding, where they’re actually arriving from, and how large your budget is. Most families stick to having around 3 or 4 hire cars for immediate family and friends, with the rest of the guests making their way to the venue by their own means. However, if your wedding is in a remote location, or somewhere undisclosed, it may be worth hiring a minibus or even coach to get lots of guests to one place.

In What Order Should Guests Arrive at the Venue?

The first people to arrive at the wedding are the groom and his party, who ought to aim to arrive 45 minutes prior to everyone else to allow for photographs before guests start filling in.

The bridal party will then arrive around 15 minutes prior to the commencement of the service, allowing the photographers to take a number of pictures before the ceremony begins.

For the pictures entering the church or venue, the bride and her father will arrive 5 minutes before the ceremony starts, allowing for pictures to be taken as they enter the building.

Can the Cars Be Decorated?

If you’d like to inject an element of personalisation into your wedding cars, we can decorate them with ribbons and bows that you’ve already bought. Our cars do, however, come pre-decorated with ivory ribbon to ensure they could be matched to any dress and wedding colour scheme.

What Kind of Car is For Me?

If your wedding has vintage elements to its styling, you’ll want to gravitate towards a vintage car – such as the Rolls Royce or Daimler Sovereign. Conversely, if you’re looking for classic styling with a modern, sophisticated edge, the Jaguars are your ideal bet. The choice of cars is, at the end of the day, those of the bride and groom!

Do We Offer Any Other Services?

With the hire of our wedding cars, we’ll naturally try and do everything we can to ensure your wedding is as memorable and smooth-running as possible. Therefore, we offer a completely personalised service, where you can request add-ons on an individual basis. For example, for no extra cost, we’ll even give you a courtesy call on the morning of your wedding, ensuring that nobody sleeps in and misses the ceremony!
